Why Web Design is Not Caveman's Business

Why Web Design is Not Caveman’s Business

Professional website design is an ever-evolving business.  To follow, designers must keep their information up to date and always on the cutting edge of new technology. The problem here is that most companies resemble caveman grandfathers from a series of very well-known insurance advertisements. We don’t want to discuss too many details here, however, they are easily recognized by their service. When the most professional or technical service they provide is SEO marketing, check the site for mammoth skins.  Every website design company performs search engine optimization.  However, the cart viper design studio offers just a bit more than that.

Level of sophistication to professional website design

We bring a level of sophistication to professional website design by using the Ajax framework, combined with MySQL and PHP to create pages that only update relevant information, as opposed to every minute detail.  What this means is that, when people click from one page to another, any overlapping elements, like background images and music, are preserved, so the load time is greatly reduced.  That shortened load time means that people will be able to navigate your site much faster, which translates into greater traffic for your site. That again can get you more revenue through more conversion rate.

Doing the professional website design

When we do your professional website design, we give you the option of choosing how and where website tools, like a tag cloud, will be displayed.  You can even commission a tool if you have your own idea of …

What You Need to Do to Get Your Website Up

What You Need to Do to Get Your Website Up

Now that you have figured out what niche you are going to go after, the next thing that you are ready for is your website. However, before you can get that website up, you are going to have to choose a domain name and get a hosting account. There are many companies to choose from which can provide both the domain name and the hosting account.

Looking for a company with service for the lowest rate

Look for a company that can offer as many services as possible for the lowest rate. After you have those things done then you are ready for your website right? Hold on a second… not so fast! The next thing that you are going to have to do is set up an account with an autoresponder. Actually, the autoresponder is optional, but if you expect to build a list that you can market to on a regular basis, then you are going to need an autoresponder.

So you have all of the stuff with the autoresponder completed, now you are ready to get the website upright? Not quite yet. You have a little bit of recon to do. Take a look around the internet for some of your competitors. If you know your niche well, then you may already have a good idea about who the big players are in it. Take a look at their website. Take a look at their copy and their layout and their opt-in form. You want to model …

Cool Free Tools to Help You Sell Books

Cool Free Tools to Help You Sell Books

Whoever coined the phrase, “You get what you pay for” is not a writer. There are many free tools available on the Internet that can help you sell more books than you ever imagined. Below are some of my favorite free tools for writers.

Google Talk

Google talk is an instant messaging service with several interesting features. As a writer you must have a website. Isn’t it better to communicate with potential customers in real time over the Internet every time they have questions about your book? Now you can, it’s free! Google Talk has a nice feature called Google Chatback. Google Chatback allows visitors to your website to see if you are online and available to chat.

Every time I open the Google Talk program on my computer, my status automatically changes to “available”. Every time I close Google Talk on my computer, my status automatically changes to “not available”. Now, every visitor to my website can click on the box when I’m available and connect with me instantly. I will get a message on my screen through Google Talk notifying me that someone wants to talk to me through Google Chatback.

Almost immediately, I connected with web visitors who asked questions about my book. Often, the question is not about the book, but about the book’s problem. These questions are basically the gateway for future book purchases. At this point, I answer their questions and then offer web visitors a small coupon code – see the coupon code …

Build a Website and Make Money - A Guide to Free and Inexpensive Website Tools

Build a Website and Make Money – A Guide to Free and Inexpensive Website Tools

The first question on people’s minds, besides ‘how to make money online’, is usually ‘how to make money on line’ AND ‘how to make a website’. People also wonder if making money online can be done with free website design sites, or, do they have to build a website using purchased software. Actually building a website can involve free website design and purchasing website design software. This article will explore both methods, and, hopefully give new folks a little more confidence if they are going to try to make money online.

My first experience with website building came from using Microsoft Publisher.

(If anyone reading this has Microsoft Office, Publisher should be bundled with the package). What I liked about using Publisher the most is that it is largely a drag and drop interface with sizable text boxes that can be placed anywhere on the web page. This makes Publisher very easy to use as far as web page design is concerned. Another feature is that Publisher comes with website templates, like many programs, so that you don’t have to start from scratch. What might make Publisher not so attractive to some is that some knowledge (and software) about FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is required for website creation. FTP is not difficult to master but is an additional step to building a website. Also required is a website host to store website files. Another problem with Publisher is that accessing the HTML (the underlying code that formats a website and …
